<b>Supplementary File 1 for: </b><b>Genome analysis of three bacterial isolates from the rhizosphere of ‘Panchabrihi’ rice, soybean, and bean in Bangladesh</b>

‘Panchabrihi ' is a new rice cultivation method that can yield rice five times a year, and is being considered a revolutionary agricultural practice (Supplementary Figure 1). Bacterial isolates collected from the rhizosphere of rice, soybean, and bean seeds were found to possess multiple plant growth–promoting (PGP) traits (Supplementary Figure 1-4). Whole-genome sequencing of these isolates was performed to characterize their taxonomic composition and to identify genes associated with plant growth promotion. In addition, antibiotic resistance genes (ARGs) were analyzed to assess the safety and suitability of these bacteria for potential application as biofertilizers.

‘Panchabrihi’是一种新型水稻种植技术,可实现一年五季水稻收获,被视为一项具有革命性意义的农业实践(补充图1)。从水稻、大豆及菜豆种子根际分离得到的细菌菌株,被证实具备多种植物促生(plant growth–promoting, PGP)特性(补充图1-4)。本研究对上述菌株开展全基因组测序,以解析其分类学组成,并鉴定与植物促生功能相关的基因。此外,本研究还对这些菌株的抗生素抗性基因(antibiotic resistance genes, ARGs)进行分析,以评估其作为生物肥料潜在应用的安全性与适用性。
