EcoVerse is a dataset consisting of 3,023 English tweets, developed by the Department of Computer Science of the University of Turin, focusing on a broad range of environmental topics. This dataset is annotated with a three-layer annotation scheme, targeting three core tasks: ecological relevance classification, environmental impact analysis and stance detection. The dataset covers multiple environmental issues ranging from biodiversity loss to sustainable agriculture, and elaborates on the data collection, filtering and annotation processes. The application scenarios of EcoVerse include policy-making and public awareness raising, aiming to address issues related to environmental crises.
