3D Cetacean Scanning

3D scans of ten Cetacean skulls collected between 1873 and 2007.

The dataset contains both baleen and toothed whales including _Physeter macrocephalus_ (a sperm whale) the largest of the toothed whales and the largest toothed predator on Earth.

Scanning was done by Kate Burton using a Creaform Go!Scan 50 structured light scanner and the scans were processed using Geomagic Wrap software. Specimen and context data was provided by Richard Sabin.

本数据集收录了10件鲸目（Cetacean）头骨的三维扫描数据，采集时间跨度为1873年至2007年。
数据集涵盖须鲸与齿鲸两大类群，其中包含大抹香鲸（*Physeter macrocephalus*，即抹香鲸），该物种是现存体型最大的齿鲸，同时也是地球已知体型最大的齿食性捕食者。
本次三维扫描工作由凯特·伯顿（Kate Burton）使用Creaform Go!Scan 50结构光扫描仪完成，扫描数据后期处理采用Geomagic Wrap软件。标本信息及相关背景数据由理查德·萨宾（Richard Sabin）提供。
