The mite remains from Deer Park Farms 87, sample 1046/5 and Lloyds Bank 72/73, sample 16

<p>The mitefauna from Deer Park Farm are too `dirty' for a regular archaeological fill of a pit, ditch or well but it does not show the characteristics of a fauna found in places used to dump excrements such as latrines, cess-pits or a sunken-byre. As yet no solid interpretation could be given. The interpretation of the sample from Lloyds Bank is relatively straightforward; the deposit must have consisted largely of animal excrements, probably horse dung.</p>

鹿园农场出土的螨类动物群（mitefauna），其堆积特征不符合坑、沟、井等常规考古堆积（archaeological fill）的判定标准，且未呈现出厕所、化粪池或下沉式牛棚等排泄物倾倒场所的动物群特征。目前尚无确凿的合理解释。劳埃德银行（Lloyds Bank）遗址的样本解释则相对明确：该堆积主体应为动物排泄物，极有可能为马粪。
