Stipa baicalensis steppe is a native grassland type endemic to the eastern part of the Central Asian grassland subregion within the Eurasian steppe zone. Its grassland ecosystem is currently facing dual pressures from human disturbances and climate change. Based on long-term observations of plant community composition in fenced permanent field plots, this dataset compiles the plant community composition data of Stipa baicalensis meadow steppes in Hulunbuir from 2009 to 2015. The collected information specifically includes plant species names in each quadrat, the natural height, abundance, and aboveground green standing biomass of each recorded species.
