This work will shed light on the stabilization mechanism of Pt-Ni-based electrodes in acid media using ionic liquid by collecting Ni HERFD XANES and EXAFS spectra under potential control. The first part of the experiment will be devoted to the stability studies, where in the second part we will investigate the role of ionic liquid on electrooxidation and reduction of Ni.
