Funerary stele for Markellos

This is a funerary stele set up by Markella for her son Markellos, who died aged 29. The deceased is lying on a kline (bed) and holding out a crown to a seated woman. Below them is a small boat. It comes from Cyzicus from 2nd century AD.此为马尔凯拉（Markella）为其子马尔凯洛斯（Markellos）所立的丧葬石碑，后者年仅29岁便辞世。逝者躺于kline（古希腊罗马式卧榻）之上，正向一位端坐的女子递出花冠。二人下方设有一艘小舟。该石碑出土自公元2世纪的基齐库斯（Cyzicus）。
