Abstract

The National Institute of Statistics of Rwanda (NISR) was created in October 2005 as an independent institution out of the former Department of Statistics in the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning and the National Service of Census. The mission of the NISR is to assume the leading role in improving capacity to use information for evidence based decision-making by coordinating national effort to collect and archive reliable data, to analyze, document and disseminate data within an integrated and sustainable framework.
The NISR disseminates survey and administrative microdata via their Central Data Catalog. Datasets listed on the site are from 1978 to the current year.
