VPRS 12823 Finalised Complaints Files, Single Number Order

This series contains records relating to breaches of the Estate Agents Act 1958 committed by Estate Agents or Sub - Agents. The breach is usually brought to the Board's attention by way of a letter of complaint from a member of the public. The Board then responds to the complaint, and if the complaint is substantiated, the Board takes the appropriate action.The series contains correspondence between the complainant and the Board, and the Board and the Agent. Each case is given a cover sheet, which provides the following details:- name and address of Estate Agent- precis of complaint- File no.- Type of complaint (this is usually given a number code between 1 and 35, as at - - August 2001 it is not known what type of complaint these numbers denote)- Justified (Y/N)- Date received- Date resolved
