The dataset of comprises of 1 mm-scale (contiguous) spectra count per second (cps) chemical element data from composite downcore X-ray Fluorescence Core Scan (XRF-CS) geochemical data, ~1 cm-scale (interval) Inductively Coupled Mass Spectrometry geochemical data, 5 mm-scale (interval) Multi Sensor core Logger (MSCL) data, and depth matched XRF-CS and ICP-MS geochemical data used for calibration from peat core records from five sites on four sub-Antarctic Islands ACE (Antarctic Circumpolar Expedition) and SHW (Southern Hemisphere Westerlies) projects. The sites and records included all have well established composite profiles and age models are as follows: BI10 on Bird Island; HER42PB on Isla Hermite; KER1 and KER3 on Îles Kerguelen, PB1 on Marion Island.
