Trabalho rural e saúde: intoxicações por agrotóxicos no município de Teresópolis - RJ

In this article, we analyze the characteristics of rural work in Teresópolis, focusing on the associations between pesticides use indicators. We intend to subsidize discussions about the legislation on pesticide use. Data includes personal and farms characteristics, pesticides and intoxication variables collected through questionnaires applied in an IBGE research conducted in Teresópolis municipality – RJ. Through exploratory data analysis and logistical regression, it was possible to find risk and protection factors related to pesticide intoxication. The paper highlights the need to create regulatory policies, to minimize risk and maximize protection factors related with rural workers health.

本文分析了特雷索波利斯（Teresópolis）地区农村劳动的特征，重点探讨农药使用指标之间的关联。我们旨在为农药使用相关立法的讨论提供支持。数据涵盖个人与农场特征、农药使用及中毒相关变量，这些变量通过巴西地理统计局（IBGE）在里约热内卢州（RJ）特雷索波利斯市开展的研究中所采用的问卷收集而来。通过探索性数据分析与逻辑回归方法，研究识别出与农药中毒相关的风险因素及保护因素。本文强调需制定监管政策，以降低风险并最大化与农村劳动者健康相关的保护因素。
