Data and analysis code for the transmission-chain experiment reported in Saral, Singh, Jacquet, Jang & Derex, "Cognitive appeal promotes the persistence of inefficient solutions and hinders cumulative cultural evolution." The package contains the raw and processed experimental data, the R analysis scripts that reproduce all figures and tables in the manuscript and supplementary information, and the optional scripts used for the textual/semantic analyses of participants' written advice.
