Respondents were asked to comment on a number of statements about: university goals; the roles of lecturers and supervisors; the careers and appointments service; the student counselling service; the university health service and the accommodation office.<br>

Age, sex, marital status, number of children, type of schools attended, father's occupation, year of entry in university teaching (in general and specifically at Hull). Faculty, positions held (academic and non-academic).
