Dataset of particle trajectories in a vertically vibrated quasi-two-dimensional granular gas (Γ = 6.30).
收藏资源简介:
This dataset contains the trajectories of particles in a vertically vibrated quasi-two-dimensional granular gas (Γ = 6.30). The experiment was performed with N = 5234 stainless-steel spheres (AISI 52100) of diameter σ = 2.3825 ± 0.0005 mm and mass 0.0555 g. The normal coefficient of restitution is α = 0.95. The particles were confined in a circular container of diameter 256 mm, with a plate separation of h = 1.75σ, ensuring quasi-two-dimensional dynamics. The bidimensional density is 0.50. The system was vertically vibrated at a frequency of 180 Hz and a dimensionless acceleration Γ = 6.30. Particle positions were obtained from high-speed camara (Phantom VEO) at 1000 fps with an exposure time of 60 μs. The trajectories were extracted by particle tracking (Trackpy) and stored in HDF5 format. The HDF5 file contains the particle identifier, frame number, and particle coordinates (X and Y) for every detected particle throughout the experiment. This dataset can be used to study the dynamics of vibrated granular gases, including particle diffusion, velocity distributions, granular temperature, pair correlation functions, and other nonequilibrium properties. The dataset was generated as part of a Bachelor's Final Project (Trabajo Fin de Grado) at the University of Extremadura (UEx). Both the experimental measurements and the data processing were carried out using the facilities of the Institute for Advanced Scientific Computation of Extremadura (ICAEx).
