A discovery is a scientific innovation discovered or created through research, exploration, scientific inquiry, and sometimes even by chance. It is achieved through a conscious scientific understanding of natural phenomena and the laws of society. Through discovery, objective laws, properties, and phenomena of the material world that were previously unknown to humanity become known.发现是一种经由研究、探索、科学探究，乃至偶然契机催生的科学创新成果。其达成依托于对自然现象与社会规律的自觉科学认知。通过发现活动，人类此前未曾知晓的物质世界的客观规律、固有属性与相关现象得以被认知。
