Microbial communities in a deep-sea hydrothermal vent chimney structure

In deep-sea hydrothermal fields, unique minerals, called chimney structures, are formed by the interaction between seawater and vent fluids. Chimney structures represent suitable habitat for a variety of microorganisms. We analyzed the microbial community structure within a chimney structure.
