Leading social media usage reasons in Mexico 2023

A survey conducted in the third quarter of 2023 found that around 60.3 percent of internet users in Mexico used social media to stay in touch with friends and family. Reading news stories was the second main reason for using social media for about 44.9 percent of the respondents. Filling spare time and finding content were important reasons for 43.7 and 41.8 percent of social media users, respectively.
