This study reports a comparative assessment of the biological impact of a heated tobacco aerosol from the tobacco heating system (THS) 2.2 and smoke from a combustible 3R4F cigarette on human organotypic bronchial epithelium tissue exposed at the air-liquid interface. Ciliary beating frequency was measured because of the known association between CS exposure and reduced mucociliary clearance, which is dependent upon normal ciliary beating frequency (CBF). CBF was measured with digital imaging. This dataset reports inferential statistics for each type of measurement comparing treatment groups vs. their respective controls, but also differences between different treatment (normalized to their respective control groups).

本研究针对烟草加热系统(THS)2.2产生的加热烟草气溶胶,与可燃型3R4F香烟烟雾在气液界面暴露条件下,对人器官型支气管上皮组织的生物学影响展开比较评估。已知香烟烟雾(Cigarette Smoke, CS)暴露与黏液纤毛清除能力下降相关——而该能力依赖于正常的纤毛摆动频率(Ciliary Beating Frequency, CBF),因此本研究测定了纤毛摆动频率。纤毛摆动频率通过数字成像技术进行测定。本数据集报告了各类测量指标的推断统计结果:不仅包括各处理组与对应对照组的比较,还涵盖了不同处理组间的差异(已按对应对照组归一化)。
