Global lake brGDGTs collected at 2024

We compiled a dataset of 949 lake surface sediment samples containing brGDGTs data, including FAs for both 5- and 6-methyl isomers, sourced from various published studies (Li et al., 2017; Dang et al., 2018; Russell et al., 2018; Qian et al., 2019; Cao et al., 2020; Yao et al., 2020; Martínez-Sosa et al., 2021; Raberg et al., 2021; Wang et al., 2021; Zhao et al., 2021; Zhu et al., 2021; Kou et al., 2022; Lei et al., 2023; O’Beirne et al., 2023; Wang et al., 2023; Wu et al., 2023; Zhao et al., 2023). Recent studies identified 7-methyl brGDGTs (Weber et al., 2018; Wang et al., 2023), therefore, we recalculated the FAs by excluding the 7-methyl brGDGTs for consistency across the dataset.

本研究构建了一套包含949个湖泊表层沉积物样品的数据集，其中涵盖了支链甘油二烷基甘油四醚（branched glycerol dialkyl glycerol tetraethers，brGDGTs）相关数据，包括5-甲基与6-甲基异构体的脂肪酸（Fatty Acids，FAs）含量信息。该数据集的样品来源于多项已发表的研究成果（Li等，2017；Dang等，2018；Russell等，2018；Qian等，2019；Cao等，2020；Yao等，2020；Martínez-Sosa等，2021；Raberg等，2021；Wang等，2021；Zhao等，2021；Zhu等，2021；Kou等，2022；Lei等，2023；O’Beirne等，2023；Wang等，2023；Wu等，2023；Zhao等，2023）。近期已有研究证实了7-甲基brGDGTs的存在（Weber等，2018；Wang等，2023），因此为保证数据集的一致性，我们剔除了7-甲基brGDGTs并重新计算了FAs的含量。
