This dataset contains wearable sensor-based physical activity and indirect calorimetry data from 35 healthy older adults aged 60 years or older, including 14 females and 21 males. Data were collected using multiple devices worn at different body positions: 3 GeneActives accelerometers mounted on the ankle, wrist and chest, 1 Equivital sensor placed on the chest, and COSMED devices worn with a bra and belt. The 35 participants completed a 90-minute protocol consisting of 16 daily living activities in a semi-laboratory setting. These activities include indoor and outdoor tasks with varying types and rhythms, covering low-intensity activities such as lying down and sitting, moderate-intensity activities including standing and household chores, and high-intensity activities like walking and cycling. Additionally, some activities can be specified with different levels of granularity. The study was conducted at LUMC between February and May 2015.
