Human gut microbiome composition contributes to food assimilation as well as low grade gut inflammation. Data suggest that specific bacterial phyla, class, or species or bacterial metabolic activities could be beneficial or detrimental to the onset of the conditions like diabetes and obesity. In the current study, 16 obese individuals received course of 15 enemas over 15 days.administered before food. Informed consent, history and physiological parameters were recorded for patients. After last enema, patients were called for follow up after 30 days.
