Wave spectra, meteorological, and other data from FIXED PLATFORMS in support of the Santa Barbara Channel project from 1984-03-13 (NCEI Accession 8500085)

Wave spectra, meteorological, and other data were collected from FIXED PLATFORMS from 13 March 1984. Data were collected by the Science Applications, Inc. - Raleigh NC (SAI) in support of the Santa Barbara Channel project. Data were processed by NODC to the standard NODC F191-Meteorology and Wave Spectra format. Data in this accession do not completely conform to the F191 format. The F191 format is used to report meteorological data and ocean wave spectra data from NDBO. The format contains seven data record types to: 1) identify the buoy for position, duration, rate of sampling and heading, 2) identify the meteorological parameters, (temperature, pressure, weather, solar radiation, and surface waves), and 3) report time times series frequency, density and resolution of waves. Each record is 120 character in length, sorted by station and record type.

本数据集包含1984年3月13日起从固定平台采集的海浪谱、气象及其他相关数据。本次数据由位于北卡罗来纳州罗利的科学应用公司（Science Applications, Inc., SAI）采集，服务于圣巴巴拉海峡项目。数据由国家海洋数据中心（National Oceanographic Data Center, NODC）处理为标准的NODC F191-气象与海浪谱格式。本批次数据未完全符合F191格式要求，完整的格式说明可从国家海洋数据中心官网http://www.noaa.nodc.gov/获取。

F191格式用于上报来自NDBO的气象数据与海浪谱数据。该格式包含七种数据记录类型，分别用于：1）标识浮标的位置、采样时长、采样速率与航向；2）记录气象参数（包括气温、气压、天气状况、太阳辐射以及表层海浪）；3）上报海浪的时间序列频率、密度与分辨率。每条记录长度为120字符，按测站与记录类型进行排序。
