China National Secondary Forest Age Dataset (2020)

This dataset is the 2020 version of the national Secondary Forest Age Dataset for China (SFAC), generated based on 1986–2021 Landsat 5/7/8 time series data, combined with change detection algorithms such as VCT and CCDC, random forest (RF) model, and stacked generalization ensemble algorithm (VCR2). With a spatial resolution of 30 m and WGS-84 projection, the age range is 1–34 years, covering mainland China and Taiwan (excluding the South China Sea islands). It can be used in secondary forest resource surveys, forest carbon stock estimation, and ecosystem dynamic research in China, filling the gap of national-scale high-resolution secondary forest age data.

本数据集为中国国家级次生林年龄数据集（Secondary Forest Age Dataset for China, SFAC）2020版，基于1986至2021年陆地卫星（Landsat）5/7/8时序数据，结合VCT、CCDC等变化检测算法、随机森林（Random Forest, RF）模型以及堆叠泛化集成算法（VCR2）生成。该数据集空间分辨率为30米，采用WGS-84坐标系，林龄范围为1至34年，覆盖中国内地及台湾地区（不含南海诸岛）。其可应用于中国次生林资源调查、森林碳储量估算及生态系统动态研究，填补了国家级高分辨率次生林年龄数据的空白。
