This project aims to sequence and analyze the genome of Hepatitis E virus (HEV) detected in a blood sample from an emergency patient in 2025 to investigate evolutionary relationships. Through metagenomic next-generation sequencing (mNGS), we obtained 50 viral reads, which were assembled into sequences compared to genotype 4d. Phylogenetic analysis showed that the sequence cluster most closely with genotype 4d. The data will provide insights into the molecular characteristics and within-host genetic diversity of HEV in clinical settings, contributing to understanding of viral evolution and potential implications for diagnosis, treatment, and public health surveillance. Sequencing was performed using an mNGS platform generating viral genome sequences.

本项目旨在对2025年一名急诊患者血液样本中检出的戊型肝炎病毒(Hepatitis E virus, HEV)进行基因组测序与分析,以探究其进化关系。通过宏基因组下一代测序(metagenomic next-generation sequencing, mNGS),我们获得了50条病毒读段,经与基因型4d比对后组装得到病毒序列。系统发育分析结果显示,该序列簇与基因型4d的亲缘关系最为紧密。本数据集将为解析临床环境中HEV的分子特征及宿主内遗传多样性提供参考依据,有助于深化对病毒进化的认知,同时为病毒的诊断、治疗及公共卫生监测提供潜在的应用价值。本次测序采用mNGS平台完成,最终生成了该病毒的基因组序列。
