RNAseq analysis for meat quality traits in a Multibreed Angus-Brahman population in Florida

Animals used in the study belong to the multibreed Angus-Brahman herd from University of Florida, born between 2013 and 2014. Cattle have different expected proportions of Angus- Brahman breed composition. A total number of 80 animals with extreme low and high meat quality index were selected and used for RNA sequencing. RNAseq library preparation and sequencing procedures were performed by RAPiD Genomics LLC (Gainesville, Florida, United States).

本研究使用的实验动物均来自佛罗里达大学的多品种安格斯-婆罗门（Angus-Brahman）牛种群，所有个体均出生于2013至2014年。该种群肉牛的安格斯-婆罗门品种组成预期比例各不相同。研究共筛选出80头肉质指数极端偏低与偏高的个体用于RNA测序（RNA sequencing）。RNA测序文库的制备及测序流程均由位于美国佛罗里达州盖恩斯维尔的RAPiD Genomics有限责任公司完成。
