Skateboarding arrived in Finland in the early 1980's, but the real boom took place in the beginning of the 90's. The most popular board at the time, especially among beginners, was Turbo 2. Skateboards became standardised in their present form by the mid-90's. Skateboard stickers were hard to find in the early years.
