Database of coverage and processing plants of palm oil in Peru (2016-2020)

Español Polígonos del cultivo de palma aceitera Elaeis guineensis en Perú, en base a la interpretación de imágenes satelitales ópticas de alta resolución de Planet NICFI desde el año 2016 hasta el año 2020. El enfoque se realizó en las regiones de Loreto, Ucayali, Huánuco y San Martín. Los polígonos están clasificados de acuerdo al año de instalación del cultivo de palma aceitera, utilizando el software de QGIS con el plugin de PlanetExplorer. Este conjunto de datos en formato vectorial sirven como referencia para identificar la firma espectral del cultivo de palma aceitera. Adicionalmente se incluyen las plantas de procesamiento del cultivo. English Polygons of palm oil plantations Elaeis guineensis in Peru, based on the interpretation of high-resolution optical satellite images from Planet NICFI from the year 2016 to the year 2020. The approach was carried out in the regions of Loreto, Ucayali, Huanuco and San Martin. The polygons are classified according to the year of installation of the oil palm plantation, using the QGIS software with the PlanetExplorer plugin. This data set in vector format serves as a reference to identify the spectral signature of the oil palm crop. Additionally, palm oil processing plants are included.

本数据集为基于2016至2020年Planet NICFI高分辨率光学卫星影像解译得到的秘鲁境内非洲油棕（Elaeis guineensis）种植园矢量多边形。研究区域覆盖洛雷托、乌卡亚利、瓦努科与圣马丁四个大区。该矢量多边形数据集依据油棕种植园的定植年份进行分类，解译工作借助搭载了PlanetExplorer插件的QGIS软件完成。本矢量格式数据集可作为识别油棕作物光谱特征的参考依据，此外还包含了油棕加工厂区的相关信息。
