由英国皇家小型猎兔犬驯化而来,品种固定且优良,遗传性疾病少,遗传性能稳定,在研究工作中能够得到重复性好而稳定的结果,对环境的适应力、抗病力较强,性格温顺,容易调教,被公认为理想的实验动物,广泛应用于医药研究等生物学领域。1950年美国推荐Beagle犬作为标准实验用犬,世界卫生组织(WHO)在 2003 年重申 Beagle 犬是生物医药领域特别是临床前安全性评价(GLP)研究的首选标准实验用犬。
Domesticated from the British Royal Miniature Hare-Hunting Beagle, this breed has fixed and excellent traits, with a low incidence of hereditary diseases and stable genetic performance. It can deliver highly reproducible and consistent results in scientific research, exhibits strong environmental adaptability and disease resistance, possesses a gentle temperament and is easy to train. It is universally recognized as an ideal experimental animal model and is widely utilized in biological research fields including medical and pharmaceutical studies. In 1950, the United States designated Beagle dogs as standard laboratory experimental animals. In 2003, the World Health Organization (WHO) reiterated that Beagle dogs are the first-choice standard experimental animals in the biomedicine sector, particularly for preclinical safety evaluation (Good Laboratory Practice, GLP) studies.
