Phytoplankton, crucial for eutrophication assessments, are sensitive to environmental changes. We introduce new metabarcoding primers for cyanobacteria and dinoflagellates, improving taxon detection compared to existing primers. Our study highlights the importance of understanding the dynamics of marine paleoenvironmental producers.The samples were collected from the Eastern Gotland Basin in the Baltic Sea during expedition EMB262. The sediment core (EMB262_6_30_GC) was located at coordinates 57°17.022'N and 20°07.285'E.

浮游植物(Phytoplankton)对富营养化评估至关重要,且对环境变化极为敏感。本研究针对蓝细菌(cyanobacteria)与甲藻(dinoflagellates)开发了新型元条形码(metabarcoding)引物,相较现有引物可显著提升类群检出效能。本研究强调了厘清海洋古环境初级生产者动态变化的重要意义。研究样本采自波罗的海哥特兰东部海盆,采集工作于EMB262科考航次期间开展。所用沉积物岩芯(EMB262_6_30_GC)的采样坐标为北纬57°17.022′、东经20°07.285′。
