Secondary school mathematics in Australia, 1978: File st3

This is the second survey of the mathematical performance of secondary school students in Australia, undertaken to examine changes in this area since the first survey in 1964 (see SSDA study no. 70). Students completed mathematics tests; a word knowledge test; an opinion questionnaire on the importance of mathematics, the facility of mathematics, school enjoyment and control over the environment; and a background questionnaire on demographic and mathematical education variables. Questionnaires were also completed by teachers and school principals.
