This study reports a comparative assessment of the biological impact of a heated tobacco aerosol from the tobacco heating system (THS) 2.2 and smoke from a combustible 3R4F cigarette on human organotypic bronchial epithelium tissue exposed at the air-liquid interface. Tissue inserts have been assessed by a histopathologist who scored with severity score a number of findings. This dataset reports inferential statistics for each type of measurement comparing treatment groups vs. their respective controls, but also differences between different treatment (normalized to their respective control groups).
