To reveal downstream targets of progesterone receptor (Pgr) that are important for ovulation, RNA-seq analyses were performed on isolated follicle cell samples from individual wild-type and Pgr-KO fish (3 each). The results revealed over 3000 genes and multiple pathways were significantly different between two genotypes, providing the first resource of genome-wide data for investigating Pgr-regulated ovulatory genes in basal vertebrate.
为揭示对排卵过程至关重要的孕酮受体(progesterone receptor, PGR)的下游靶标,本研究对野生型与Pgr基因敲除型(Pgr-KO)鱼的分离卵泡细胞样本开展了RNA测序(RNA-seq)分析,每组各3尾个体。结果显示,两种基因型样本间存在超过3000个差异基因及多条显著差异的通路,该研究为探究基底脊椎动物中受PGR调控的排卵相关基因提供了首个全基因组数据资源。
