Development of novel microsatellite markers in Buchanania cochinchinensis (Lour.) M.R.Almeida

Buchanania cochinchinensis is an important non-wood tree species found in deciduous forests throughout the greater part of India. Its kernel is of very high value and this species is vital for forest dependents and tribal in forest fringe areas. Presently, no genomic information available for this forest species. Therefore, study was undertaken to develop novel microsatellite markers in this socio-economically imporatant wild tree species.

越南肉托果（Buchanania cochinchinensis）是一种重要的非木材林木物种，广泛分布于印度大部分区域的落叶林中。其种仁具有极高的经济价值，对于林缘地带的森林依存人群与部落族群而言至关重要。目前，该林木物种尚无可用的基因组学信息。有鉴于此，本研究针对这一兼具社会与经济价值的野生林木物种，开发了新型微卫星标记（microsatellite markers）。
