A horse-drawn carriage sits parked at the curb. Another carriage, without horses, is parked behind it. Streetcar rails are visible in the dirt street. A few people stand on the sidewalk. Utility poles and lines traverse the scene. The building is two-stories high constructed of brick with a flat roof. Legible writing includes: "J.F. Grass Block", "For rent, [...], f[...]st location in trade[?] [...] grocery, hardware"..., "Hollywood Sentinal, [...] Real estate, [...] Carl[?] R.[?] Claussemius[?], electrical contractor".
