Pseudoalteromonas tetraodonis Transcriptome or Gene expression

chitin is a typical component of the exoskeleton of shellfish. It has been reported that Pseudoalteromonas strains can produce chitinases, implying that they have the ability to degrade chitin, respectively. Whole genome sequencing of multiple species in Pseudoalteromonas have been carried out in our group. In this thesis, we performed a research on the utilization of alginate and chitin by different species in this genus by using comparative genomic analyses and experimental verification.

几丁质（chitin）是贝类外骨骼的典型组成成分。已有研究表明，假交替单胞菌属（Pseudoalteromonas）菌株可分泌几丁质酶（chitinase），提示该类菌株各自具备降解几丁质的能力。本课题组已完成对该属多个物种的全基因组测序。本研究中，我们采用比较基因组学分析与实验验证相结合的方法，针对假交替单胞菌属不同物种对褐藻胶（alginate）和几丁质的利用情况开展了相关研究。
