This repository contains the updated input data and the outputs used in the manuscript “A fault-based application to model seismicity rates for seismic hazard assessment in the southern Apennines (Italy)” (submitted to Natural Hazards and Earth System Sciences). Version 2 includes revised rupture models, additional background buffer sensitivity tests (5 km and 15 km), and supplementary figures produced during the peer-review process. The repository provides 6 ZIP archives. 5 of them share the same internal structure, with separate folders for inputs and outputs: IrpiniaModel_v2.zip - complete model for the whole study area SubArea1_v2.zip - model restricted to Sub-area 1 SubArea2_v2.zip - model restricted to Sub-area 2 Buffer_5km.zip - model testing a 5 km background buffer distance Buffer_15km.zip - model testing a 15 km background buffer distance Each archive contains the following folders: input_data: Seven ASCII text files providing: Fault geometry and properties (coordinates, slip rate, etc.) Background seismicity geometry and properties Historical and instrumental earthquake catalogue used for model comparison Completeness table of the catalogue Paleoseismological constraints on selected faults output_data: Outputs are organized in three main folders: figures/: Graphical results (e.g., Magnitude–Frequency Distributions (MFD) for alternative models, NMS (Non-Mainshock Slip) plots, rates of paleoearthquakes on faults) txt/: Plain-text tables with the analytical results of the simulations xml/: Machine-readable detailed results for each SHERIFS v1.1 run, suitable for further processing or re-use The 6th folder Supplement_Figures.zip contains figures showing the geometry of the 5 km, 10 km, and 15 km background buffers and the corresponding MFD comparisons.
