Timing of petal abscission is controlled by a gene regulatory network. The phytohormones jasmonic acid (JA) plays critical roles in petal abscission through the control of this network. Our preliminary study shows that mutants in regulators of JA biosynthesis and JA signaling display delayed petal abscission. Although those regulators are involved in the petal abscission, differences of the base of petals at cellular levels in wild type and mutants are not characterized in detail. We conducted RNA-seq analysis using JA biosynthesis mutants, dad1 and JA downstream gene mutants, snac septuple mutants to identify differentially expressed genes.
花瓣脱落的时序由基因调控网络控制。植物激素茉莉酸(jasmonic acid, JA)通过调控该网络,在花瓣脱落过程中发挥关键作用。我们的预实验显示,茉莉酸生物合成调控因子及茉莉酸信号通路调控因子的突变体均表现出花瓣脱落延迟的表型。尽管上述调控因子均参与花瓣脱落过程,但野生型与各突变体的花瓣基部细胞水平差异尚未得到详细阐释。本研究利用茉莉酸生物合成突变体dad1以及茉莉酸下游基因的snac七重突变体开展RNA测序(RNA-seq)分析,以鉴定差异表达基因。
