Changes in FIM, BBS, FOG-Q, and MDT-PD Scores Over Time in Older Patients With Parkinson’s Disease in the Two Groups

According to the repeated-measures analysis, all outcome measures in both groups showed dynamic changes across baseline and at 1, 3, and 6 months after the intervention. For FIM scores, both groups showed gradual improvement over time, with the intervention group increasing from approximately 70.88 at baseline to 87.95 at 6 months, and the control group increasing from 69.98 to 74.19, indicating that functional independence improved in both groups, with greater improvement in the intervention group. For BBS scores, the intervention group increased from 27.76 to 38.33, whereas the control group increased from 27.29 to 31.43, suggesting that balance function improved in both groups, with a more pronounced improvement in the intervention group. For FOG-Q scores, the intervention group decreased from 14.40 to 9.00, whereas the control group decreased from 14.45 to 12.98, indicating that freezing of gait symptoms were alleviated in both groups, with a greater reduction in the intervention group. For MDT-PD scores, the intervention group decreased from 44.07 to 33.12, whereas the control group decreased from 44.36 to 41.07, suggesting improvement in dysphagia-related symptoms in both groups, with greater improvement in the intervention group.
