Faecalibacterium prausnitzii is enriched in the gut of healthy individuals but significantly reduced in atherosclerosis patients; Faecalibacterium prausnitzii and its metabolite indole-3-carboxaldehyde (ICA) markedly inhibit the development of atherosclerosis; further studies revealed that they suppress PI3K/AKT activation via the CXCL10/CXCR3 pathway, thereby alleviating atherosclerosis progression.

普拉梭菌(Faecalibacterium prausnitzii)在健康个体肠道内富集,但在动脉粥样硬化患者体内显著减少;该菌及其代谢产物吲哚-3-甲醛(indole-3-carboxaldehyde,ICA)可显著抑制动脉粥样硬化的发生发展;进一步研究显示,二者可通过CXCL10/CXCR3通路抑制PI3K/AKT的激活,从而缓解动脉粥样硬化的进展。
