A series of data on the species composition of sessile invertebrate communities at different successional stages, community total mass and metabolism. In addition, there are species-specific metabolic rates, area-mass relationships, body size distributions and abundance for the three dominant species in the community (Pyura, tubeworms and Watersipora) which we used to estimate overall community metabolism.

本数据集包含不同演替阶段的固着无脊椎动物群落物种组成、群落总生物量及代谢特征相关的系列数据。此外,还收录了群落内三类优势种——柄海鞘属(Pyura)、管栖蠕虫(tubeworms)与膜孔苔虫属(Watersipora)——的物种特异性代谢速率、面积-生物量关系、体型分布及种群丰度数据,上述数据可用于估算整个群落的总代谢水平。
