To meet task order requirements and ASPRS vertical accuracy standards, Dewberry established 38 ground control points used to calibrate the lidar to known ground positions across the project area. An additional 247 independent accuracy checkpoints—145 in Bare Earth and Urban land cover types (NVA points) and 102 in Tall Grass and Brushland/Low Trees categories (VVA points)—were used to evaluate vertical accuracy.
