This dataset contains genomic selection statistics generated from whole-genome resequencing of Belahi cattle (Bos indicus) of India. The data include nucleotide diversity (π), Tajima’s D, and other population genetic measures calculated across the genome using a sliding window approach. Genomic regions showing significant deviations were further examined to identify candidate genes associated with adaptation and economically important traits. These results provide insights into the genomic signatures of selection operating in indigenous Belahi cattle and highlight adaptive and trait-linked candidate genes relevant for future breeding and conservation strategies.
