The recent discovery of a Jupiter-sized planet orbiting a very young 11 Myr oldmid M dwarf is unprecedented in its promise for the investigation of how planetsaround low mass stars evolve. Substantial evolution of the planet.s atmosphereshrinking the overall planet radius is expected in its future. We propose anobservation with the XMM-Newton.s EPIC cameras to investigate the current levelof X-ray irradiation of the atmosphere that along with the EUV is thought todrive atmospheric mass loss particularly within the first few hundred Myr.
