T2.26MG-112.2 is a Rhizobium strain that has been isolated from the deep subsurface of the Iberian Pyrite Belt (SW Spain) in strict anaerobic conditions. The sample was taken from a drill core obtained at 492.6 meters below surface, during the Iberian Pyrite Belt Subsurface Life Detection project (IPBSL). It was isolated from a methanogenic enrichment culture in a H2:CO2 (80:20) atmosphere. A genome and one plasmid were sequenced

T2.26MG-112.2为一株根瘤菌(Rhizobium)菌株,系在严格厌氧条件下从西班牙西南部伊比利亚黄铁矿带的深部地下环境中分离得到。该样本取自伊比利亚黄铁矿带深部生命探测项目(Iberian Pyrite Belt Subsurface Life Detection Project,IPBSL)所获取的钻孔岩心,采样深度为地表以下492.6米。该菌株分离自H2:CO2(体积比80:20)气氛下的产甲烷富集培养物,目前已完成其基因组及1个质粒的测序。
