本数据集围绕面向印度尼西亚市场的荷兰企业连锁董事网络的重构展开。本研究为探究印度尼西亚非殖民化对荷兰的政治与经济影响之研究项目的组成部分，相关文献可参见Baudet、Fennema等（1983）的成果。数据集包含五组统计样本：公司样本量分别为137、141、135、131及115；董事及其职务样本量分别为1279、1386、1390、1313及1156。
