The nasopharyngeal (NP) microbiota is believed to be a key player in the health of the upper respiratory tract, and disturbances in the NP microbial communities may contribute to the pathophysiology of bovine respiratory disease (BRD). Interestingly, there have been no studies examining the change of NP microbiota associated with clinical recovery from BRD. The objective of this study was to evaluate the effect of Tilmicosin treatment on the NP microbiota composition, diversity, and predicted functional gene profiles, of BRD affected calves during the first week of clinical recovery.

鼻咽微生物群(nasopharyngeal microbiota,NP)被认为是上呼吸道健康的关键调控因素,其群落失衡可能参与牛呼吸道疾病(bovine respiratory disease,BRD)的病理生理过程。值得关注的是,目前尚无研究探讨与BRD临床康复相关的NP微生物群变化。本研究旨在评估替米考星(Tilmicosin)治疗对临床康复首周内患BRD犊牛的NP微生物群组成、多样性及预测功能基因谱的影响。
