Mariner 10 Energetic Particle Experiment high-cadence electron data digitized from Christon (1987), Figure 2a
收藏资源简介:
This dataset provides high-cadence energetic electron measurements from the Mariner 10 Energetic Particle Experiment (EPE; University of Chicago charged-particle telescope, J. A. Simpson, Principal Investigator) during [Mercury Encounter I, 29 March 1974]. The values were digitized from Figure 2a of Christon, S. P. (1987), "A comparison of the Mercury and Earth magnetospheres: electron measurements and substorm time scales," Icarus 71, 448–471 (doi:10.1016/0019-1035(87)90040-6). The high-cadence EPE data are not available in digital form from any standard archive; only a nominal-cadence version is held by the NASA Space Science Data Coordinated Archive (NSSDCA, dataset PSFP-00039). Because the original instrument team is no longer reachable to provide the high-cadence records, these values were recovered by digitizing the published figure so that they can be openly reused without each user re-digitizing the same figure.
