Grey scale image stacks (TIFF) of segmented trabecular bone from below the proximal growth plate of both tibiae obtained from 12 female C57BL/J6 mice.<br>All mice underwent sciatic neurectomy to their right hindlimb at 12 weeks of age, to model osteoporosis.<br>Four mice were euthanised and their bones dissected after each of 3 time points: 5,35, and 65 days after the surgery. All tibiae were imaged in X-ray microcomputed tomograph (Skyscan 1172, Bruker microCT, Kontich, Belgium) at 5 µm voxel size and grey scale images were reconstructed using NRecon 1.7.1.0.<br>File names reflect the mouse ID, timepoint of euthanasia and whether the sample is from the left or right hindlimb, so e.g. the file 'mouse-35.3R-segmented-grey-scale' is from the right hindlimb of mouse number 3 of the ones that were taken 35 days post-surgery (so at 12 weeks + 35 days of age).<br>Segmentation was done manually using CTan.<br>Ethical approval for the animal procedures was carried out in accordance with the Animals (Scientific Procedures) Act 1986, an Act of Parliament of the United Kingdom, approved by the Royal Veterinary College Ethical Review Committee and the United Kingdom Government Home Office under specific project license, and followed ARRIVE (Animal Research: Reporting of In Vivo Experiments) guidelines.<br>
