Images from an Archaeological Watching Brief at Saints Trail, St Agnes, Cornwall, October 2020 to January 2023

This collection comprises images from an archaeological watching brief at Saints Trail, St Agnes, Cornwall. This work was undertaken by Cornwall Archaeological Unit between October 2020 and January 2023. The principal aim of the study was to gain a better understanding of the archaeology of the development area, including the historic character and development of the traditional Cornish hedges in the area. A total of eleven hedges were breached during the first stage of works and soil was stripped across nine fields. There were no features found during the groundworks. Several pieces of 19th or 20th century pottery and glass were recovered during the watching brief.
