Niamey Climate Forest Project Data Overview: This dataset is a part of the Niamey Climate Forest project funded by the GSTIC program. Outdoor WBGT Data It focuses on heat stress measurement campaigns (WBGT) conducted in Niamey during 2022 and 2023. Inside the "Outdoor WBGT" folder, you'll find: Subfolders "2022" and "2023" representing data collected in those respective years. Under the "2022" folder: Three subfolders, each corresponding to the date of data collection. Each subfolder contains metadata providing details about the location and whether the data was collected in shade or sun. Also included are figures presenting processed data for both shade and sun pairs in the "figures" subfolder. Additionally, within each subfolder, there are thermal infrared images of the site in the "FLIR" folder. For the "2023" folder, only the raw dataset is available. Some of the data points have been processed and visualized in a dashboard, accessible here: https://vitobelgium.github.io/niamey-foret-climatique/#14/13.5250/2.1217 Modelling execise Alongside the measurement campaign, three neighborhoods (Talladje, Bobiel, and Deyzeybon) were modeled using the HiRex and Urclim models of VITO. Model outputs for the three neighborhoods during the May 2022 measurement campaign are located in the "wbgt_modelling_output" folder. Subfolders with raw data. Subfolders with figures, comparing soil moisture sensors in shade versus sun conditions.
